A PLAAF Xian-85 in 2074.

The Xian-85 jet fighter was the workhorse of the Chinese PLAAF before the Great War. Designed and built by the renowned Xian Aircraft Corporation, the Xian-85 entered PLAAF service in 2050.

The Chinese government, in the mid-2040's during it's massive conquests of Asia, thought to replace it's aging MiG-21's with a better, and more Chinese jet. Therefore, the Chinese government assigned the Xian Aircraft Corporation to design a new jet aircraft that would prove to be a valuable asset. By 2049, Xian Aircraft Corporation had a successful prototype.

Later in 2050, the Xian-85 entered service in the PLAAF.
