The H-Men are horribly mutated humans from the experimental F.E.V. Hydrogen Bombs tested off the coast of japan before the great war. They now inhabit ghost ships floating in the ocean that sometimes wash ashore unsuspecting coast of emerging societies after the great war.

Background[]

The invasion of the H-Men trace back to abandoned ghost ships from Japan. The New California Republic (NCR) intercepted these eerie vessels with the intention of salvaging their mysterious cargo. However, their salvage operation took a sinister turn as they encountered glowing green creatures dubbed, the H-Men. In their attempts to salvage the ships, the NCR personnel face a perilous confrontation with these enigmatic, liquid entities, resulting in the loss of men and escalating the sense of dread surrounding the radioactive threat.

Faced with the impervious nature of the H-Men, conventional weaponry proved futile for the NCR. Desperate to counter this formidable threat, the NCR was compelled to seek assistance from two formidable factions – the Brotherhood of Steel and the Shi. Recognizing the need for specialized expertise and advanced technology, the alliance with these powerful groups became crucial in the battle against the H-Men. The Brotherhood of Steel skillfully infiltrated the ship to accessing terminals to extract crucial information about the humanoid organisms. This covert operation unveiled valuable background details, shedding light on the origins and nature of the enigmatic H-Men.

The prewar U.S. government, in a controversial move, sent samples of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) to Japanese scientists, who then conducted experiments involving FEV weapons. This experimentation, conducted on the coast of Japan, inadvertently led to the creation of the H-Men. The exposure to FEV, combined with the unique environmental conditions, resulted in the transformation of individuals into the liquid, shape-shifting entities known as the H-Men. As the destructive presence of the H-Men spread havoc across New California, the NCR, the formidable Brotherhood of Steel, and the technologically advanced Shi. United by the urgency of the crisis, this unlikely alliance embarked on a collaborative effort to stem the tide of the radioactive entities.

The Shi, driven by scientific inquiry, took charge of analyzing the H-Men's elusive composition and behavior. Their laboratories buzzed with activity as researchers sought to unveil the secrets behind the enigmatic creatures. The Brotherhood of Steel, known for their mastery of advanced technology and military strategy, lent their expertise to the cause. Specialized weaponry and cutting-edge equipment were forged with the intention of neutralizing the H-Men's unique threat. Meanwhile, the NCR, renowned for their solid infrastructure, unleashed their innovation in the form of groundbreaking solutions. Allowing protective measures from their Army and civilians, offering a glimmer of hope in the face of an unprecedented menace. The alliance's strategy unfolded with the Brotherhood of Steel leading strategic planning and covert operations. Their tactical brilliance was instrumental in locating key H-Men vessels drifting along the coast and gathering intelligence, laying the groundwork for the decisive confrontation.

As the H-Men's presence loomed, the alliance implemented isolation and quarantine measures. Evacuation of vulnerable populations and the establishment of secure zones became crucial components of the plan, designed to contain the spread of the liquid monsters. Their efforts unfolded as an intricate dance of scientific inquiry, technological prowess, and strategic acumen, as the NCR, Brotherhood of Steel, and Shi pooled their strengths in a desperate bid to halt the relentless advance of the H-Men and safeguard the remnants of a beleaguered population. In a collaborative effort, the Brotherhood of Steel and the Shi pooled their technological prowess to craft a groundbreaking weapon designed to destabilize the molecular structure of the H-Men. This weapon, a beacon of hope in the face of an unprecedented threat, had the power to revert the enigmatic creatures into mere piles of radioactive goo. With the devastating capabilities of this new weapon at their disposal, the Brotherhood of Steel generously offered their military tactics to augment the NCR's substantial forces. A united front emerged as the alliance systematically waged war against the H-Men, deploying strategic precision and overwhelming firepower.

The coordinated efforts of the NCR, now bolstered by the Brotherhood's military expertise, proved highly effective. The once-ubiquitous H-Men faced imminent eradication as the alliance executed a relentless campaign, leaving almost no trace of the liquid entities across the afflicted regions. However, in the aftermath of the triumphant campaign, an unsettling uncertainty lingered. The extent of success was clouded by the unknown; the alliance could not ascertain how many ships laden with H-Men might still be adrift in the vast expanse of the ocean, carrying with them the potential for renewed peril. The shadow of uncertainty hung over the alliance's victory, emphasizing the lingering threat that lay beneath the ocean's surface, veiled by the ebb and flow of the waves.

Biology[]

Appearing as an amorphous, humanoid liquid creature. They lack a distinct physical form the H-Men have a translucent and fluid nature, giving them an eerie and otherworldly appearance. Capable of shape-shifting, they can take on various forms, adding to their unpredictable and menacing presence. They emit a glowing green aura that exposes anyone nearby to dangerous levels of radiation.

Abilities[]

The H-Men in "H-Man" possess a specific set of abilities related to their liquid nature and radioactive origins:

  • Shape-shifting

The H-Men can change their form, allowing them to take on different shapes and sizes. This ability contributes to their elusive and unpredictable nature.

  • Dissolving Ability

One of their primary abilities is the power to dissolve organic matter upon contact. This makes them highly dangerous, as they can consume humans and other living beings, leaving no trace behind.

  • Radioactive Nature

The H-Men are a result of exposure to radioactive substances. This radioactive aspect not only transforms them but also makes them a potential source of harm due to the radiation they emit.

  • Survival in Water

The H-Men originate from a substance in the ocean contaminated by radiation. They can survive and move within water, contributing to the difficulty in containing or eliminating them.
