The Founding[]

The Nova Scotian Enclave started when an Enclave Major, one Major Hewbert, fleeing from the collapse of the DC Enclave, took 100 of his best units north. They arrived in an old Oil Rig just off the coast of Nova Scotia, learning of some Military Descendants still alive on the Rig after picking up a radio signal nearby detailing their location and for all US & Canadian Armed Forces to arrive at the Rig. After arriving they learned that the rig was actually owned by a Admiral of the former Canadian Royal Navy who detailed plans to retake the coast of Nova Scotia and possibly an HICOMM System. They hadn't picked up the Enclave name since they weren't affiliated with the Enclave that we know.

Project: Sigma[]

Their first operation off the rig was with Foxtrot Squad, numbering some 25, they managed to kick the Scottish Brotherhood out of the old RCMP Headquarters in Halifax. They gained access to the Police Officer's Armory and the radio beacon on the top of the tower, with this beacon they could broadcast across Halifax. The promise of a well defended army and camp lured in Settlers. Due to the remnants not being affiliated with the Enclave they never learned of the anti-settlerism that was plaguing the other Enclave Groups. With them not attacking settlers they gained a massive popularity boom across Halifax, rapidly removing the Scottish Brotherhood who were taking a more Technocratic approach similar to the Western Brotherhood. With civilian uprisings resulting in massive amounts of Guerilla Warfare, the Scottish Brotherhood were swiftly pushed out of the region. They rapidly began rebuilding the large buildings in Halifax, making scrap and brick walls. With the massive population boom from the Radio luring people in, they gained full control of Halifax. They began construction of refugee camps and outposts within the city, which quickly cemented their power. This is where the cracks began to show between the large portions of the anti-Settlerism within their ranks begin to show, with rapid acts of brutality in their ranks against the Settlers who flocked to them. The anti-Settlerism came to a head when a group of Capital Enclave Remnants were beating down some settlers and some Canadian Army Remnants arrived, after a short scuffle High Command took charge. In the famous Preston v Scott Case, the first using the new rules put in place by the Army, the court and jury sided with the pro-settlers, resulting in a massive crackdown on brutality. With the anti-Settlerism suppressed they began their next step.

They sent out Enclave Squad Trenton to the outer regions of Halifax, in order to gain control of a HICOMM System still occupied by the Scottish Brotherhood, the last major Brotherhood Outpost in the South. In a short but fierce battle the Enclave emerged victorious, encircling and wiping out the Scottish Brotherhood's last major southern fort and putting power in their favor. With Radio connections to the Enclave in Chicago, they began working in juncture to foil BoS operations in their areas, with fights breaking out across the city of Chicago and cities that neighbored Halifax. With support from the local population, the Scottish Brotherhood faced a series of civil rebellions supported by the Enclave, this tipped the scale in the Enclave's favor and kicked the BoS out of Southern Nova Scotia. With total control over the south, they began scrapping the equipment in their oil rig, sending them out to Halifax in order to establish Factories and Production Lines, with jobs becoming steadily available the Enclave decided to incite their own act, declaring that Hewbert Jackson was the President. Many of the Canadian Remnants protested this, wanting their Admiral, one Trent Featherston, to take control. With both sides not wanting to spark a civil war, they agreed to hold an Election, and by several dozen votes, Hewbert Jackson gained the clear majority and the Admiral was forced to step down.

With rapid gains in Southern Nova Scotia, they began reconstruction of an old frigate. After months upon months, the frigate was finally repaired and dubbed the HMCS Triton, which saw deployment on January 21th, 2290. The gain of a ship, tipped the scale and in the decisive battle known as the Battle of Fort Anne, the Enclave absolutely disintegrated the Brotherhood Fortifications in Fort Anne, only to then launch a massive wave assault, crippling the massive Brotherhood manpower base and crippling their defense in the region. With the discovery of Artillery in the fort, they shelled the Brotherhood to near extinction, with only the desperate Battle of Lake La Rosa delaying the Enclave Advance. Brotherhood was preparing a decisive push out of Southern Nova Scotia, and they finally launched it.

Operation: Stars and Bars[]

Template:Infobox Faction/Group on September 19th, 2290, Enclave Outposts in southern Nova Scotia began reporting massive Vertibird Squads flying over head, rushing, they had attempted to contact but to no avail. By the time they had their AA ready, the Vertibirds were already to far ahead, so after reporting it to the backline, they prepared for the assault of Vertibirds. The Vertibird assault finally hit on September 23rd, where 500 Brotherhood Paladins dropped from the sky onto Halifax, they quickly decommissioned the defense force which was still in it's infancy, and quickly gained control of the City. The attempted civilian uprisings that followed were met with massive civilian deportation back to Enclave Lines, which delayed the Enclave counter attack with the roads being clogged with the Locals. The Brotherhood advance finally hit, with a Vertibird air assault followed by ground engagements, these tactics sent squad after squad of Enclave Garrisons to the grave and split the lines, delaying any attempted counter attack for months. The assault finally resulted in a full scale assault on Enclave Lines, with 3,000 Brotherhood Personnel, from Knights to Scouts to Paladins being sent. The offensive, paired with several more strategic Vertibird landings resulted in a massive collapse of Enclave defensive lines, with merely High Command being saved. The last of the scattered Enclave Remnants retreated to the final defensive position, ironically it was Fort Anne. The conflict that followed would be years long and grueling, with the only advantage the Enclave have being the old artillery. Finally the Enclave got a break after they got a plan that, if worked, could save their entire population.

Operation: Rocket's Red Glare[]

The last of the Enclave's Main Force pummeled directly out of the gates of Fort Anne, pushing directly into Brotherhood lines. Scouts earlier had photographed the weakest points in the line, which is where the Enclave were breaking, with the Artillery Squad loosing shells at the more fortified positions, distracting and delaying any Brotherhood reorganization. The Enclave's forces quickly pushed out to the beaches, immediately mounting their Frigate which the Brotherhood had assumed was non-functional. The Enclave had used their ship to hit their Airforce Base just north of Fort Anne, which was still on standby with orders to immediately retreat if a Red Flare came from the direction of the Fort. With reinforcements from the AFB they gained a massive advantage, with 120 Men paradropping in teams of a baker's dozen. The massive paradrop followed by a shelling resulted in massive Brotherhood Casualties and it forced the Brotherhood out of the area. This small area of breathing room allowed the Enclave to further their plans, with their only Fat Man Squad, given their MIRV, being sent. The Fat Man squad arrived at the Brotherhood's FOB in New Minas, and decided to wreak havoc. 2,000+ Brotherhood Personnel Died, with the entirety of their High Command going with it. This destruction of almost every high ranked Brotherhood Personnel tipped the scales fully in the Enclave Favor, with the Enclave's Remnants across the province reorganizing and organizing revolts in their areas. Rapidly the Brotherhood were collapsed in on and encircled, but instead of cleverly pushing out, they were encircled in landlocked, poorly defendable areas, which were shelled into oblivion. The dust had cleared in Nova Scotia, with the last major threat to the Enclave's power being decimated by their might, every other minor threat either bowed a knee, fled, or were disintegrated faster than the Brotherhood.

The Reconstruction Era[]

They had seen the massive damage that the war had caused across the province, and they decided to act with impunity, quickly establishing civil relief programs and humanitarian efforts. They repaired Water Purification Systems and even established Heated Shacks in Refugee Camps, these acts of kindness had wooed the populace, securing the Enclave's Presence in the Region. With their presence in the province secured, they began thinking of their larger goal, a Canadian State, not occupied by the Americans. You see, within the years of self preservation and expansion, they constantly put out signals for the Enclave remnants or perhaps the descendants to aid them, but no aid ever came. This feeling of abandonment fueled anti-Americanism and since they were mostly Canadian Descendants, they began fueling ideas of a Greater Canadian State. They eventually began reestablishment of a governing body, establishing sectors of Northern Nova Scotia, Southern Nova Scotia, Central Nova Scotia, and the Greater Halifax Area, setting up elections for Minister of the Sectors. They established the Nova Scotian Bank, where they backed their currency on a similar standard to the caps, backing them in food, ammo, water, etc. With the establishment of a new republic, the Enclave finally denounced their former rulers, they would have a free Canadian government. They signed off on many acts, one of which was the Ghoul and Mutant Rights Act, another was the Conscription Act (Dictating that in states of emergency or war the government can conscript 10% of the population without parliament approval) and finally on the 4th of July, 2296, they signed the Nova Scotian Enclave Act, finally formalizing the Republic of Nova Scotia, also known as The Nova Scotian Enclave.
