Bottle caps[]

Bottle caps are the most common currency of the post-War wasteland, and can be traded for goods in most places. The following locations and/or factions in the fanonverses:
- Locations, factions, and people(s)
- Sunken City, excluding Elitist vendors.
Specialty bottle caps[]
Some groups and vendors will only take certain kinds of bottle caps, or specialty bottle caps, such as Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps. This includes:
- Locations, factions, and people(s)
- Henry Anderson on Sunken City's Free Ridge will only accept caps from Nuka-Cola Quantum bottles.
Bartering[]
Some locations and peoples will not use caps, but rather only conduct trade through the bartering of possessions that the other party wants. Such examples are:

- Most all of the Elitist vendors located on Free Ridge in Sunken City will only barter and do not take caps.
Military-grade ammunition[]
Pre-War, military grade ammunition has become a currency used in several locations across the wasteland. With raiders, mutants, and other threats to humanity in abundance across the post-War world, military grade ammunition has become the de facto currency in many places due to its small size and practical usefulness.
